Welcome to the Practical Nursing Homepage

The purpose of this site is to provide important information related to the Practical Nursing program at UCNJ.

The Practical Nursing Program at UCNJ is a four-semester program leading to a Certificate. The nursing courses are offered during the daytime. For all students, clinical rotations may be scheduled during the day, evening, and/or weekend hours in order to obtain optimum client care experiences.

The curriculum incorporates theoretical knowledge from the biological and social sciences into the nursing framework. Students are able to apply information acquired in the classroom and skills laboratory to clinical client care experiences.

Enrollment Requirements for Clinical Nursing Courses:

CPR, Malpractice Insurance, Health Documentation, Criminal Background Check, Official Uniform. Please refer to the PN Student Handbook for the details on these requirements.
